Amy Bauschard, M.Ed. is an instructor in the Education Department.  In addition to teaching, Amy is also the program director of the Ƶapp Early Learning Innovation Academy (MELIA), faculty counselor of the Ƶapp University Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, Education Honor Society, and co-director of the newly established NextGen814 Program.  

During her tenure at Ƶapp, she previously held the roles of Carpe Diem Academy director, supervisor of the Ƶapp University/Erie’s Public Schools PreK Partnership and administrator of Mercy Center of the Arts.  

In 2015 and 2020, Ms. Bauschard was named an “Afterschool Champion” by the Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool/Youth Development Network (PSAYDN). She was nominated and selected for her exemplary commitment, dedication, and outstanding work in supporting meaningful, high-quality, afterschool programming for children and youth.  

Her areas of expertise include literacy, curriculum development, and building community partnerships to support preservice teachers in early childhood settings.  

Prior to coming to Ƶapp, Ms. Bauschard spent over a decade of teaching in early childhood classrooms.
