Lecturer
Ms. Krause started working as a nursing assistant during nursing school. Â After graduating from nursing school, she worked as an RN on 9N (Trauma and Ortho) at AHN. After working on the Trauma floor, she moved to a cardiac intensive care unit with the intent of learning more about the heart. In 2002, her career in nursing continued at Hamot where she went back to Trauma nursing and precepting new nurses, eventually becoming a Trauma Case Manager.Â
After many years at Hamot, Ms. Krause left hospital nursing and started working for an insurance company as a Workers’ Comp nurse case manager. Finding she missed precepting new nurses, she joined academia as an adjunct at Gannon University as a clinical instructor. She discovered her love for academia and joined the nursing faculty at ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵapp in.
