Associate Professor, Criminology & Criminal Justice
Attorney Fryling specializes in teaching courses related to the courts and criminal procedure. She has represented criminal defendants at all levels of the court system and has authored a textbook entitled “Constitutional Law in Criminal Procedure," which is now in its third edition. She assists pre-law students in applying to law school and identifying courses that will assist them in reaching their goals of working in the legal system. She is currently the zone governor for the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She teaches courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level.

Students have assisted Attorney Fryling in researching issues relevant to criminal appeals and the criminal trial system.
Attorney Fryling previously served as the president of the Board of Directors of L’Arche Erie and has also served on the Board of Directors of Better Housing for Erie. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Erie County Bar Association and served as a delegate for Erie County to the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Attorney Fryling serves on the Justice Samuel Roberts Scholarship Committee for the Erie County Bar Association and assisted in the initiation of the Erie County Pardon Project.
