²¤ÂÜÊÓƵapp coach Mike Williamson completes fifth Boston Marathon

mike williamson²¤ÂÜÊÓƵapp Cross Country Head Coach Mike Williamson outdid himself with a stellar finish in this year’s Boston Marathon, coming in 403rd out of 28,000 runners.

It was Williamson’s fifth Boston Marathon. He achieved a time of 2:35:25, his fastest overall marathon time by one minute and his fastest Boston Marathon time by six.

Williamson reflected on the experience saying, "I was excited to run in my fifth Boston Marathon. It's always a great experience and there's no other marathon, let alone race, quite like the Boston Marathon. The beauty of the sport of running is that you can continue to do it for as long as you are able to and want to. You can still compete post-collegiately at any level you decide to, both against others and most importantly against yourself.â€

The Boston Marathon is the world's oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the world's best-known road racing events. It is one of six World Marathon Majors. Its course runs from Hopkinton in southern Middlesex County to Copley Square in Boston.
