Ƶapp, Jamestown Community College renew articulation agreement
Ƶapp University has renewed its articulation agreement with Jamestown Community College (JCC), paving the way for continued collaboration and enhancement of students’ educational experiences.
The agreement reflects Ƶapp’s commitment to admit eligible graduates of any JCC associate degree program into their choice of bachelor’s degree program at Ƶapp. Its purpose is to ensure the efficient and orderly movement of students between the institutions while guaranteeing students’ continuous advancement in the pursuit of a professional career.
“Ƶapp University is delighted to continue its long-standing partnership with SUNY Jamestown Community College,” said Dr. Richard McCarty, provost and vice president for academic affairs. “This agreement allows JCC graduates to matriculate as juniors at Ƶapp, minimize their costs and time to degree, and experience all the benefits of being a Ƶapp student. Through this agreement, Ƶapp recognizes the rigor of the JCC curriculum, the quality of JCC programs, and the work of JCC students.”
As incoming juniors, JCC students must meet the following conditions:
1. JCC graduates must complete the Ƶapp admissions process and provide transcripts from all post-secondary institutions
2. Students must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA for all coursework at the post-secondary level. Specific programs may require a higher cumulative GPA for their coursework
3. Seventy-five total credits and no more than fifty percent (50%) of a student’s major course requirements can be transferred from JCC to Ƶapp
“SUNY Jamestown Community College's long-standing partnership with Ƶapp supports our students in continuing their education seamlessly at a distinguished university that is close to home for many,” said Dr. Jessica Kubiak, JCC vice president for academic affairs. “I'm eager for JCC graduates to take advantage of the opportunity this agreement affords, and I'm grateful to Ƶapp for their belief in our ability to prepare students for transfer into their bachelor's degree programs with up to 75 credits from JCC.”
Ƶapp and JCC have enjoyed a working collaboration since 2020. During that time, an estimated 92 JCC students have transferred to Ƶapp to complete their education.
